Memorial Day Weekend Day 1

Here are the photos from Friday of Memorial Day weekend. It was a good day!! Chris got a lot accomplished. The weather was overcast and in the low 90's. It has been in the 100's the last couple of weeks so it was nice to get a "cool" day. lol

First weekend on the 2 Nauti!

The 2 Nauti went back in the water last Friday so we spent our first weekend on the lake. We did a lot of cleaning and figuring out what we needed to bring out to get ready for Summer. She runs great and looks good after her acid bath. : ) I have spent all week making lists and running to Wal-Mart & and the Grocery Store getting everything we need to start. Chris has a 4 day weekend for Memorial Day so we plan on spending all weekend on the lake. We might have to make 2 or 3 trips from the car to the boat but Hey! I need the exercise! lol

We tried to get Wally dog in the water but he is not a water dog. He would get in the float with me but when it came to wearing a life jacket and actually swimming he would freak out. I should have gotten photos but I will try to this weekend.

I took some great photos of the landscapes around the lake that I haven't really noticed before and plan on taking more. When you are out there all the time you stop paying attention to your surroundings. With the water dropping there are new things popping up all the time.

Getting Ready for Summer!!!!

We had the 2 Nauti hauled out of the water over the weekend so the marina could get some routine maintenance done. Lake Mead now has mussels and we had some growth over the winter season. They die quickly out of water and just scrape off easily. We are getting both impellers replaced as they bring the lake water into the two engines to cool them and suspect they haven't been replaced in years. I also think there is a bad gimbal bearing on the starboard side due to a leaking bellows, but that is covered by insurance thankfully. It is crazy how big this boat is out of the water. You can really see it's size sitting on the trailer. It's time to get it ready for the summer. We are hoping to spend more time on the water this year and hopefully more of our friends and family will join us.
